Since 2001 when we closed our regular retail store we at Bicycle Specialties have specialized in the areas that interest us most and in which we have the greatest knowledge. We build Mariposa custom bicycles, restore and rebuild older bikes, supply hard to find components and supply the fine bikes produced in Montreal by Cycles Marinoni.
We can supply most modern road bike components but also stock a good selection of older parts needed for the restoration of classic and vintage bikes. We have a good selection of generator lighting systems and probably one of the greatest selection of Specialites TA chainwheels and cranks in North America.
To enable us to concentrate fully on frame building and painting we are only open for retail sales on Fridays and Saturdays.
Mike Barry founded Bicycle Specialties in 1990 following the closing of Bicyclesport, a leading downtown Toronto store he had established in 1972. Mike has competed in most branches of the sport. He has been active in several clubs and founded the Toronto Randonneurs. (now Randonneurs Ontario). His son Michael now races as a professional with the T-Mobile Team.
